Earth Day is an annual event celebrated worldwide. Its main goal is to show support in protecting the environment and repairing damages caused by human activity. For almost half a century now, this event has encouraged many to join in demonstrating support for this very relevant goal of, once and for all, saving Mother Earth.
In STEPS School, the environment is given great importance and care as can be observed in its semi-green landscape and fully-grown fruit trees. The school has adhered to the importance of recycling and reducing the amount of waste at school. Instead of throwing, used materials such as bottles, tires, and boxes are converted into useful classroom hands-on materials and resources.
Love and care for the environment are also instilled in the hearts of our students through activities that help them think useful and practical ways to contribute even little ways in helping, protecting and repairing Mother Earth.
This Earth Day Sorting Activity helps students learn one way to do just that. And, that is through sorting garbage into trash and recyclable.
